Why Go Now: February is peak season for Thailand’s best weather, and the cost of living is so low that it can be cheaper than a trip within the U.S. Also, if you go now, you can get a jump on all the White Lotus fans heading to Koh Samui took soak up the sun just like their favorite characters from the show. It’s also an easy destination to find deals but still live like you are enjoying the lap of luxury.
Budget Tip: Eat at street food stalls and use local transportation to keep costs minimal.

How to Score Last-Minute Deals

• Flight Hacks: Use Google Flights, Skyscanner, and set fare alerts for price drops. My favorite is Skyscanner because of the layout.
• Accommodation Tips: Check Airbnb, HotelTonight, and last-minute resort deals for significant savings. I’ve used HotelTonight on a few different occasions and gotten some great deals but this is pretty last minute, like one to two days ahead for a great deal so may be the best for local getaways.
