Beyond the Slopes: Après-Ski and Activities

After a fun day Skiing in Kitzbühel, the après-ski scene comes alive. Cozy mountain huts such as Berggasthof Sonnbühel serve traditional Austrian dishes, while lively bars such as The Londoner offer music and drinks well into the night.

During our visit we found Zinnkrug just a few blocks from the Hahnenkamm gondola to be a great spot for dinner after a day on the slopes with hearty Austrian dishes as well as pastas, pizzas and more to appeal to the whole family. Definitely make a reservation or stop in early to avoid the crowds and a wait.

We also enjoyed the Legenden Cafe at the base of the Hahnenkamm gondola for pre-skiing lattes and breakfast bites as well as an après Aperol Spritz.

For those looking to explore beyond Skiing in Kitzbühel, the town offers winter hiking, ice skating, and luxurious spa experiences. Kitzbühel also hosts a variety of winter events, including the world-famous Hahnenkamm Race, which attracts top athletes and spectators from around the globe.

Whether you’re a seasoned skier or a first-timer, Kitzbühel provides the perfect blend of thrilling runs, scenic beauty, and Austrian charm. With its rich history, top-notch skiing, and vibrant atmosphere, it’s no wonder Kitzbühel remains one of Europe’s most beloved winter destinations. Ready to hit the slopes?
