So excited for a new World of Color at Disneyland Resort this holiday season. Today, the Disneyland Resort announced that “World of Color − Winter Dreams,” an all-new holiday version of the popular “World of Color” after-dark spectacular, will debut at Disney California Adventure Park, Friday, Nov. 15, kicking off the Holiday Season.
This was a big week for me and Disney. We started the week out with a visit to CarsLand at Disney California Adventure. While I think we were there on one of the hottest days of the year, and didn’t get to ride the rides for fear the kids would melt in line (and some bad planning on mom’s part), we did have fun checking it out along with Carthay Circle – both of which are impressive and not to be missed. The best advice is to get to Radiator Springs early – very early in the summer – to get a fastpass, especially if you have small children.
Our next Disney adventure was with Adventures by Disney. While my daughter doesn’t understand why her magic wand doesn’t work, surely Disney has figured out how to wave theirs just right. On our Quest for the West tour to Wyoming, every milestone was met from wild west adventure to wildlife spotting (and, thankfully, none of the planning was left to me). Even on our abbreviated media trip, the feeling that we missed something didn’t even occur to me – it was that well planned. And for this, I respect Adventures by Disney. Clearly, since the Disney brand is well-known for top-notch product, its tours are expected to also achieve the highest levels of satisfaction. Having now experienced it for myself, this does, indeed ring true. From horseback riding through stunning, isolated valleys to whitewater rafting class III rapids with a 5-year-old, every activity was planned to perfection. And maybe a little too much, I know four people who would turn around and go back this very minute.
We are here at Disneyland for the One More Disney Day Leap Year celebration. The park is open for the next 24 hours, from 6 am today until 6 am tomorrow, March 1. I can’t wait to see what’s happening at 1 am tonight and wonder how long the girls will last. Twenty-four hours of Disneyland, here we come!
