Montage Hotel & Resorts is heading to Hawaii. The hotel company will open a new resort in Kapalua Bay on Maui. Lantern Asset Management, on behalf of the resort’s ownership group, has appointed Montage Hotels & Resorts as its manager for the Maui-based hotel and residences, formerly the site of the iconic Kapalua Bay Hotel and presently operated as The Residences at Kapalua Bay. The resort, set atop the picturesque Kapalua Bay, will undergo a multimillion dollar improvement program beginning this fall, with plans including 56 Montage branded residences offered for sale and the introduction of a 50-room, all-suite Montage hotel.

Located on the island of Maui, Montage Kapalua Bay will join the collection’s current hotels and residences: Montage Laguna Beach, celebrating its 10^th anniversary in 2013, Montage Beverly Hills and Montage Deer Valley.

As a big fan of Montage’s properties in Laguna and Beverly Hills, I can’t wait to see the hotel brand’s new Hawaii addition.
